I was just across the border in Oregon. It's a beautiful city called Portland. I was there for a Family Reunion. I absolutely love the corporation that feeds my business and I hope that as I write about my weekend that I can edify it, just a little bit.
I heard from many different people from many different walks of life with very different stories. I laughed hysterically, I cried monumentally. Every person who spoke made their business what it is because they made a decision. They made the decision to go CORE. It really revealed to me just how successful the CORE system really is...
I am preparing to do the same. I am preparing for life-changing experiences. I am ready to transform my life.
The word dynasty was thrown around a little bit this weekend. I like that word. I want people to see a Porter dynasty. I want the people I help to help people. I want to selflessly serve these people until my knuckles bleed. My first step is getting the Attalah's organization to explode. My next step is to get the Schuman's organization to explode. The final step is to get my organization to explode. The step after the final step is to help each and every one of my personally sponsored individuals to get their organizations to explode. The cool thing. Is if I complete even one of these steps, I've done what I wanted.
Absorbing all of this information this weekend was critical for me. I am still in the processing mode. Every sentence that was said carried extreme validity. Every major point was like a mini revelation on my heart.
Another cool thing that I observed was that this environment is the kind of environment when things really happen. Everyone carried themselves with esteem and confidence, negativity just didn't exist, and everyone was connected by the same common thread. That thread was DREAM. We all have dreams, while they're different dreams, they're all dreams. The thing that's different about the people in that arena and the rest of the world is that we make them happen. We don't just dream of that car, or that house, or that relationship, or that vacation for the family, we make it reality. With sacrifice at the front comes a wonderful reality in the end.
Everything that I do now, I do it for my future. The way they said it this weekend was really poignant to me. "Dig your well before you're thirsty." It was probably said forty times by five or six different people and each and every time it was said it sunk in just a little deeper. I need to be ready to sacrifice. I should be confident in each sacrifice I take as well...
Every decision I make, I make it with His guidance, my upline's guidance, and my heart's dreams...
There's no other business that lets it's people dream. There's no other business that maintains friendships before fiscal success. There's no other business where those around you selflessly serve you to make your business more successful. There's no other business where your direct counsel is those who have been successful in the business already. There is no other business where love is integral to success. I also believe in my opinion that there's no other business where His hand is laid upon it more.
I am so blessed to have gotten an invitation into this wonderful world. It's the biggest opportunity for me to make my dreams a real thing.
That said, my heart took a proverbial beating this weekend. I have reconciled with a lot of my past because of that, and I will continue forward with my future. My deeply wonderful and amazingly awesome future. I see so much potential all around me. Now it's up to me to actually go out and grab that future and make it reality. It's up to me to see the world around me change. I know I can do it. I have the most amazing association all around me, I have a dream, and I have a fire deeply implanted in my heart. I am absolutely on fire.

The Great Divide
It's Five Twenty-Eight in the evening and I'm sitting on my bedroom floor pondering. Now usually my pondering has distinct places it travels and usual paths it goes, but today, I'm scatterbrained. Fully. Deeply. I don't know why or where it comes from, it just comes. I had a Merchandising meeting today. It went really well. I am slowly integrating into the daily life of an IBO and it feels wonderful. I'm going out to enjoy a Caesar salad and a martini with my sister tonight. We've seen each other so much lately. It's very fulfilling. I can't ever get enough of her. She's the biggest blessing ever. Too bad we didn't get birthed into the same family. Oh wait, yes, yes we did. We're sisters in Christ. That's cool to the maximum. Anyways. There's this worship leader named Ian McIntosh. Watch out, he's the next legend. I really hope so at least.
See, I'm just a big ramble today. No rhyme to my reason, no reason to my rhyme. I'm just pent-up, doing the time. Maybe, just maybe, I'll be back to myself later this week.

Through fog and fire
Through fog and fire. Two very different things, yet all too familiar and real within the Christian walk. Well, actually through any person's walk really. We all go through times we can not see the other side to and we all go through times that challenge us. There is no doubting that challenge is real. Very, very real. There is no doubting that there's times when things don't exactly make themselves clear.
So, within the next few months, I'll be embarking on probably one of the foggiest and fire-filled journeys of my life. I'm going to start making my mark. I'm going to become part of a diamond studded, platinum filled, ruby, sapphire, and emerald laced family. I'm going to acquire the extra income I need to get my ministry on it's feet, and I'll have the time to maintain and really watch that ministry develop.
At this point it seems like it wouldn't be fair to the people I've talked to and showed interest to not to pursue it with all my heart. If, in some point of that trying that I find out it's not for me, that's fine. Not to give it a real chance however, doesn't seem justified. Especially since my interest level and commitment levels are both extremely high. I'm ready to take this Quixtar lifestyle head-on. I've got a great set of Up-Lines in Andrew, his parents (sort of), Craig, and Samir. I look forward to the day I have my own Down-Line. When people come to me, connect with me, thrive through me. It's weird, I'll be making my dreams happen, but with my intellect, others dreams are happening through me, and because I participate. This seems like a real opportunity for me. I'm not going to sit idle and pretend I didn't see it.
On to something else, you see, I've been thinking continually about structure for some reason the last few weeks. It's become clear to me why? It's so I could understand the structure of this business better and more cohesively than people who are just seeing the layout for the first time. I would best describe it as Multi-level Marketing and Retailing. After some research people mislead themselves into believing that Quixtar and World Wide Dream Builders are together a pyramid scheme. It's just simply not the case. In a pyramid scheme there's a lot of money you put into it up front, and numerous written contracts. However this business opportunity I pay the licensing fee and am essentially on my way. The opportunity is there. I'm going to knock. I just really want to make sure my entrance is as planned and informed as possible. It's not a "get-rich-quick" scheme and I'm fine with that. I just can't wait to start meeting the needs of the people around me, while also filling my own needs.
On Friday, we're having a meeting. Perhaps, then, I will begin the process.
And to think, all this because I took a five-hour drive to Spokane on a whim. Who knew SpringLeadership would rock me like it did! I can't wait to go back next year and show progress to those I will meet and have met already.
